Lori is a Licensed, Independent, Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience serving a broad spectrum of individuals, couples, youth, children and families. Lori has an extensive background in child welfare and working with at risk and adjudicated youth. Lori’s areas of expertise include best practice treatment of posttraumatic stress, adult attachment issues, grief and loss, and complex trauma with men and women. She provides a variety of trainings in various topics related to compassion fatigue, burnout, implicit bias and trauma sensitive strategies for professionals, educators, child welfare agencies, juvenile court/detention, visitation centers, parents, foster parents, and various other agencies by request.
Lori received her Master of Social Work from the University of Washington. She has done extensive post graduate work in the areas of trauma, PTSD, attachment, substance misuse and grief and loss. Lori utilizes EMDR and Brainspotting as primary treatment modalities. Lori is a Certified EMDR Therapist and an EMDRIA Consultant In-Training. Lori completed the Vulnerability, Courage, Shame, and Empathy: The Living Brave Continuing Education Course developed by Brene’ Brown. She is adjunct faculty for BASW and MSW students at Eastern Washington University. Lori volunteers as a member of ESD 101 Level 2 Threat Assessment Team supporting safe schools and communities and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the EMDR International Association.
