Asantay is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate who is passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and the process of discovering who they are. Her therapeutic approach derives in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties with emotional expression.
Asantay utilizes a person-centered framework, meeting clients where they are and working collaboratively to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop a sense of personal agency. She incorporates components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and somatic-informed strategies to create individualized, developmentally attuned care. Asantay is also trained in EMDR Therapy and is continuing to expand her competence through consultation and practice.
She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Eastern Washington University. Asantay has experience in school-based and outpatient settings, where she has supported teens and young adults through anxiety, trauma symptoms, identity exploration, perfectionism, relationship stress, and major life transitions. She is committed to ongoing professional growth and integrating evidence-based practices to provide affirming, client-centered care.
